Naran and Kaghan are tourist destinations located in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The phrase “Naran Kaghan” is actually a combination of two words, originally derived from Naran Valley and Kaghan Valley that are adjacent to each other. Geographically, Naran is a tourist town situated inside the greater Kaghan Valley at an altitude of 2,409 meters (7,904 ft). It is located at a distance of approximately 23 kilometers (14.3 miles) further towards the north from the mainland of Kaghan Valley. Kaghan itself is located 99 km (61.6 miles) from Mansehra city at an elevation ranging between 650m (2,134 ft) and 4,170 m (13,690 ft).

The distance between Islamabad and Kaghan is approximately 261 km (162 miles) which is roughly just over 5 hours travel time. The total distance between Islamabad and Naran Valley is approximately 283 km (196 miles) which includes the 261 km (162 miles) distance from Islamabad to Kaghan and then an additional distance of 23 km (14.3 miles) 35 munites drive towards further north to reach Naran.

Naran Kaghan is the best place to visit in Pakistan, the weather of Naran in June and July is 20C. The cold weather of Naran always gives you the best feeling ever. Babusar Pass

Babusar Pass is also known as Babusar Top is a famous mountain pass at an elevation of 4,173 meter (13,691 ft) and the major tourist attraction. Babusar Pass is the highest pass in Kaghan valley. Best time to visit Babusar Pass is June and July because the surroundings are full of greenery and in winters the roads are covered with snow.

Through a car, you can reach to Babusar Pass from Islamabad in 8 hours 30 minutes. The distance of Babusar Pass from Islamabad is 350 km. Babusar Pass connects the Kaghan Valley through Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH). From Naran, you can reach to Babusar Pass in 1 hour 30 minutes through the car.

Saiful Malook

Saiful Malook Lake is located at 8 kilometers from the northern end of Kaghan Valley. Saiful Malook is considered as one of the highest lakes in Pakistan. May and July are the best time to visit Saiful Malook Lake. Cycling, boating, camping and horse riding are enjoyed by tourists at Saiful Malook.

Saiful Malook is the source of River Kunhar. Through a car, you can reach to Saiful Malook from Islamabad in 7 hours 40 minutes. The distance of Saiful Malook from Islamabad is 290 km. From Naran, you can reach to Saiful Malook in 45 minutes. Saiful Malook Lake is a striking mountainous lake at an elevation of 3,224 m above sea level.

Lulusar Lake

Lulusar Lake is a charming lake in Kaghan valley. Tourist visit Babusar Top must also visit Lulusar Lake. From Naran bazar you can easily reach to Lulusar Lake in 2 hours of drive.Lulusar Lake is the irresistible lake and located over 11,000 feet above sea level on Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road amid Bassal and Babusar tops.

Lulusar Lake is a peaceful place with lush green meadows. Through a car, you can reach to Lulusar Lake from Islamabad in 7 hours 45 minutes. The distance of Lulusar Lakefrom Islamabad is 328 km and it is 50 km away from Naran.

Ansoo Lake

Ansoo Lake or Ansoo Jheel is located in Kaghan Valley. Ansoo Lake is the highest mountain in Kaghan valley and it is located near Malika Parbat.The lake is shaped like a tear so that’s why it is called Ansoo Lake. Best time to visit Ansoo Lake is July to August.

Except from July to August the lake covered with snow. Ansoo Lake looks stunning and it is a perfect place to take amazing photos.
