09 days Itinerary for Hunza and Ghizer District of GB

Day 01
Drive to Chilas via KKH or through very scenic Kaghan valley and over Babusar pass to Chilas. Approximately 13 hours. If you driving through Kagahn you are passing Mansehra, Balakot,Kaghan,Naran,Jalkhat,Lulusar lake over Babusar Pass 4173m, through Thak Nala of Chilas to Chilas town.
If you are driving via KKH so you are passing Abbottabad, Mansehra, Shinkiari, Baffa, Chattar Plan Pass, Battagram, Thakot, Besham, Dasu Kohistan, Basha Dame site to Chilas. Hotel Shangrila or Panorama Hotel

Day 02
Driving on KKH to Hunza approximately 5 hours. Today you are passing 2nd to 8th century AD Buddhist carving near Chilas, the famous Junction point where world famous three great mountain ranges meet Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindukush, further on an ambush place of 1852 called Bhob Singh Pari,where Raja Gohar Aman of Yasin wiped out Maharaja Kashmir troops .The commander of Dogra army named Bhob Singh has been killed here. Once you inter the Nagar valley you will see the ancient silk route cross the Hunza river. Lunch stop at Rakaposhi View point and from there to Hunza valley . Hotel Eagle Nest

Day 03
Full day exploring. Morning 700 years Baltit Fort and 900 years Altit fort, afternoon driving through the Attabad tunnel, Attabad Lake, Gulmit village to Hussani Bridge,Passu glacier. Hotel Marco polo inn

Day 04
Drive to Ishkomen valley of Ghizer. Approximately 5 hours’ drive. Lunch at Gilgit town . After Lunch visit 10th century Standing Buddha at Kargah valley on your way to Ghizer. The drive Gilgit to Ghizer is along the beautiful Ghizer River through the lush green Punial villages which are popular for its deliciously sweet fruits. The district of Ghizer prior to 1970 was made up of four kingdoms, Gupis , Ishkomen ,Punial and Yasin. On the way If got time visit Gahkuch Fort and an ancient cave locally called “Jadaw Malik”. After Gahkuch continue one-hour drive to the Birgal Ishkomen.Today you are staying in a local traditional Guest house called Royal Guest house Birgal Ishkomen. Near by the Guest house many trout fishponds where you can fish and at night can enjoy fry and grill fish at Guest house. Night BBQ and Bone fire .Roya Guesthouse

Day 05
Full day to explore around. You can cross the longest suspension bridge of Asia over the Ishkomen river between Chatorkhand and Dain village.This is the bridge connect The Hindukush mountain rang with Karakoram range. After uphill walk through the beautiful Dain landscape to the Gochar waterfall. It can be a full day excursion walking through upper Dain village meeting with local community and can enjoy the local hospitality. In upper Dain village you can visit a local lady who is being possessed by a Fairy.In trance she talks to visitors through the Fairy and tells about the past and future. Evening back to the Royal Guest house .On your Interest we can arrange a local traditional musical evening in a local traditional house at the guesthouse

Day 06
Early morning drive toward Phander valley approximately 5 hrs . Phander valley is called the Land of Lakes and its rivers and lakes are full with trout fish. On the way you will visit Gupis Fort which was built by British around 1894. After driving along the Ghizer river passing Khalti Lake to Centre Phander and return back to Gupis . Day 07
Return drive towards Chilas or over Babusar Pass to Naran approximately 8 to 11 hours . On the way can have the good view of Nanga Parbat 8125m which also called the Killer Mountain. Hotel in Chilas or Naran

Day 08
Morning visit Lake Saiful Maluk and after drive to Islamabad approximately 8 hrs. Hotel or Guesthouse

Day 09
Transfer to the airport. Trip finished
